Karla Despradel is a multidisciplinary strategist and designer with over a decade of experience leading international projects across sectors. She specializes in human-centered solutions, creating, developing, and guiding innovation processes that translate complex challenges into meaningful, actionable outcomes. With a Master’s degree in Design for Social Innovation and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Design, her expertise spans strategic planning, framework design, and the development of research processes and data-collection tools that inform decision-making and drive impact.

She has held key design and strategy roles, including at the Arnhold Institute for Global Health at Mount Sinai, where she optimized processes and services to improve patient experience and financial performance; and at Doblin by Deloitte, where she served as a Senior Design Strategist collaborating with global clients on complex innovation challenges. As a Communications Consultant for Chemonics + USAID in the Dominican Republic, she contributed to strengthening the justice system through user-centered communication strategies and interventions.

As an independent consultant, Karla has provided strategic and research expertise to social-sector organizations across health, education, and entrepreneurship. Previously, as Design Director at Constructive, she led visual design teams and partnered with international clients to build equity-driven digital brand experiences grounded in social justice and resilience. Her leadership consistently integrates human-centered design, strategic vision, and multidisciplinary collaboration to deliver transformative results.
