Project Outcome

This project helped reintroduce The Climate Trust with a clearer voice and a more inclusive, welcoming presence. The new brand and website communicate values of trust, equity, and stewardship at every touchpoint. It now supports their expanded mission, not just as a technical partner in climate finance, but as a bridge to opportunity for the communities most impacted by climate change.

Complex topics like carbon markets were simplified through visuals, plain language, and step-by-step guides. The final experience invites curiosity and builds confidence in a traditionally opaque space.

Rooted in Land: A Brand for Climate Trust

The Climate Trust has spent 25+ years advancing climate solutions through land stewardship and carbon markets. Following a new strategic plan to broaden access, especially for Black and Indigenous landowners, they needed a brand and digital presence that reflected their renewed mission, clarified their impact, and made complex climate work more accessible and actionable.

Deliverables

Identity Design
Visual System Design
Brand Guidelines
Website Design

To kick off the branding process, I led a collaborative design workshop with key stakeholders to align on values, vision, and voice. Through guided exercises, we explored how the organization wanted to show up in the world visually and emotionally. The session helped surface shared themes like trust, clarity, and cultural relevance, which became anchors for the identity system. This co-creation approach ensured that the final visual direction reflected a unified vision.

The redesigned website focuses on clarity, storytelling, and accessibility, helping users quickly understand what The Climate Trust does and why it matters. We created tailored content paths for landowners, carbon buyers, and partners, with digestible overviews and real impact stories.
