Project Outcome
The final deliverable was a informed inspights report. By embedding co-creation throughout the process, we uncovered actionable insights and systemic gaps that extend beyond the classroom. The resulting findings have equipped system actors, dvocates, educators, and policymakers, with the evidence needed to lobby for more inclusive, emotionally resonant, and culturally relevant sex education across Latin America.
Reinventing Sex Education with Youth
A Case For Her partnered with YLabs to reimagine comprehensive sexual education for young people in El Salvador. Existing programs often failed to reflect the cultural, emotional, and social realities of adolescents, leaving gaps in trust, relevance, and agency. The goal: generate actionable insights to inform a new curriculum rooted in youth experience and co-designed from the ground up.

I led the fieldwork research, engaging directly with students, caregivers, and educators across diverse communities. Using human-centered methods, we surfaced behavioral insights and systemic gaps, particularly around gender roles, emotional development, consent, and pleasure, that traditional curricula often overlooked.
In a series of participatory workshops, youth helped shape the content, language, and delivery approach of the new curriculum. Their contributions challenged assumptions and informed everything from visual metaphors to storytelling formats, making the learning experience more inclusive, engaging, and safe.
